Kate Kelly’s Farewell. — When her brother’s committal was pronounced Kate Kelly, who was attired in very deep mourning, rose from her seat and walked to the aide of the dock, over which her brother leaned and kissed her most affectionately. They clasped hands, and for a moment gazed at each other, and were then separated. Kate Kelly then left the court. She stood by the side entrance through which the prisoner was expected to appear, and on his removal from his cell into the cab to be conveyed back to gaol, again shook hands, kissed him and said, “ Good-bye, Ned ; God bless you;” There are numerous rumors of the Kelly plant having been discovered, but none are reliable.
