To the Editor. Sir, —It appears that only L 1,200 has been lost to this Borough from the culpable negligence of our City Fathers, while they have been wasting time over trifling matters. We have been heavily rated during times of great depression; and I think, sir, they are morally (if not legally) liable to the ratepayers for this breach of trust. I would strongly urge on tho inhabitants the propriety of calling a public meeting forthwith for the purpose of asking this honorable body to resign their trust, in order to elect fresh members who would act for their advantage. —I am, Ac.
