(From our own Correspondent.)
[By Telegraph.] Wellington, July 19. The Maori Prisoners Bill is still under discussion. Its fate is not doubtful, as those members of the Opposition who feel . the responsibilities of their own actions would take care not to vote it out, whatever they may say against it. The West Coast report is getting some bitter criticisms, and Mr. Fox evidently- sees that he V spoke too early in * the debate. Mr. Sheehan has given notice to take it into reconsideration early next month. He knows the advantage of putting on a bold face to what he must meet.
