South Rakaia Road Board (in the place of Neil Maclean, Esq., resigned) will be held at the Road Board Office, South Rakaia, on WEDNESDAY, the 23rd day of Juno, 1880. Nominations will be received up to 12 o’clock noon, on Tuesday, the 15th day of June instant, at the Road Board Office, South Rakaia. THE Education Board of the District of North Canterbury proposes that the locality comprising all that part of the district contained within the following boundaries, that is to say Commencing at the junction of the road north-east of section 16713 with the road south-east of said section, thence south-westerly, following the latter road to the southernmost corner of section 30758, thence northerly, following a road forming the wt stern boundary of section 30758 to the southermost corner of section 28186, thence north-westerly, following the south-western boundary of the latter section to the westernmost corner thereof ; thence southwesterly along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 11 of the sub-division of Reserve No. 1371 (in red) to the road separating that lot from Lot 14, thence northwesterly following said road to the railway line ; thence south-westerly following the railway to the easternmost corner of Lot 11 of the sub-divi-sion of Reserve No. 1381 (in red); thence north-westerly, following the northeastern boundary of said lot to the road northwest thereof ; thence south ■westerly along said road to its junction with the road separating sections 33459 and 31453 ; thence northerly, following the latter road to the road separating sections 28193 and 28192; thence north-easterly, following this road to its junction wdth the road first above mentioned, and from thence returning south-easterly along the same to the commencing point, shall be erected into a separate School District to be called the School District of Hinds, pursuant to the Education Act, 1877. And the Board hereby calls a public meeting of the householders of such locality, to he held on MONDAY, the twenty-first day of June, at seven o’clock in the evening, a - the house Mr. Donald M‘Lenan, for the purpose of electing a Committee, and considering the boundaries of the said proposed School District. The Board further directs that the first meeting of the said School Committee be held in"the place appointed for the election, and immediately after the election upon the the same evening. J. V.
