Waipawa, Octr. 3rd, 1865. Dear Sir, I have since leaving Napier been round the Te Aute swamp with Hapuku, Hori Niania and others, the tracing of the boundaries as pointed out by them I have sent to Mr. Weber, they take a portion of Mr. Tiffen's freehold - which Steel is trying to purchase I told the Hapukuku that nothing could be done until the Maps etc. in Napier had been looked at, to which he consented.
