New Plymouth, June 15th, 1847. Sir, In reply to your letter of yesterday's date, stating that the term of enrollment of the Police Force will expire on the 18th inst. and requesting my sanction for the continuance of their Services - I should say as a matter of course that the Police Force will remain embodied until you receive instructions to disband them, but it will be necessary for you to re-swear them and that they should sign the regulations for the ensuing year.
