Wellington. 14th. October 1872. Honble D. McLean. My dear Sir, As I apprehend another Ministerial Residence will be required, will you kindly make known to your colleagues that I am in a position to treat for the sale of the house I occupy in Murphy Street, and the furniture. I need scarcely say that it is well adapted, because during last Session Mr. Vogel entertained most of the Members of Parliament in it. The domestic arrangements are complete, with bath-room, patent closet, etc. The garden, too, though not large, is sufficient, and can be kept in order without increasing the staff of domain's gardeners. The price will be reasonable. I remain, my dear Sir, Yours very truly (Signed) W.H. Clayton.
