May 21/61 My dear McLean, There are as usual a lot of minuted papers laying on my table that they shd be removed except by my express direction is the exception not the rule in the same manner I often get papers weeks after they have been minuted upon in your office. Who is the clerk responsible for this will you or Smith tell me, and speak to him about it. I wish also to talk to you about the division of your offices if you have time when we return from the Executive Council, wh I suppose will be abt 2 oclock. Yrs. faithfully, Fred. A. Weld.
