Napier June 21 - 1870. My dear McLean, I wrote you at length yesterday and have not much to say today. I saw Mr. Williams (Mangateretere) yesterday afternoon and without in any way committing you to further connection with the business I have an understanding that he goes on for the present as before. This was necessary until it is fixed whether or not Hart is right about your being liable for the rent.
