New Zealand Company's Office Wellington 18th. July 1850. Sir, I have the honor to acknoeledge the receipt of your letter of the 16th. current, informing me that His Excellency, Sir George Grey, has instructed His Excellency, the Lieut. Governor, to direct the Colonial Treasurer to receive and indorse the Bill drawn by me for the payment of the 2nd. Instalment of the Rangitikei purchase money; which His Excellency, the Lieut. Governor had previously declined to do. In accordance with your intimation, Mr. Kelham will wait upon you with the Bill. I have the honor to be, Sir, your obedient servant (Signed) William Fox. To:- Principal Agent, N.Z. Co. The Honble, The Colonial Secretary of New Munster. Mr. Domett, The Treasurer to receive and endorse the Bill, and get it cashed. (Signed) G. Eyre. 19th. July 1850.
