You will see that Rolleston found the prisoners at Wharekauri in a better frame of mind than the sample. In simple truth our Wellington "friendlies" are many of them as unsatisfactory a lot as the island contains. There are threats I am sorry to say of a tribal quarrel about land in which the Whanganuis are concerned. I have not had the letters yet.
