Wanganui 3 March 1859 Dear McLean, I have just recd. yours from Taranaki dated 28 Feby. As you do not mention any day for the Governor's arrival it is not easy to make the necessary arrangements with the Natives for coming down the river. Mr. Woon is attending the Supreme Court in Weklington. I meet him next Thursday at Rangitiki where I hold a Court. I have bespoke apartments at the Rutland (the best House in town) for His Excellency and suite. Mr. Taylor leaves this today and I believe travels overland as the Wonga Wonga goes to Nelson to be kareened. Hoping to see you soon and with Mrs. D,'s compts. Yours truly, D.S. Durie.
