This commission should be composed of men free from local influences, and I should be glad to obtain one from New Zealand. Could you suggest to me, confidentially, the name of any gentleman who would in your opinion be well qualified to act in this capacity, and also not disinclined to do so? - His expenses would of course be paid by the Fijian government - I should be sincerely obliged to you for this assistance. I find that my Attorney General, Mr.de Ricci has been putting questions to you, of which one, at least, was unnecessary.
