HOKITIKA, July 16. The final returns- for the Westland by-election are as follows:—Seddon, 2403 ; Michel, 1683; number on roll, 4484; majority, 720. Mr Seddon is remaining on the Coast for th.9 present, and is now engaged in visiting different parts of the constituency. He will be entertained by the ladies during the week. A meeting of Mr Michel's supporters will be held this evening for the purpost of recognising the manner in which he conducted the campaign.
