TE AROHA SHOW.

There was a large attendance of the public at the show held here yesterday, the number of visUors from the Thames, Waihi, Paeroa and other parts of the goldfield districts being most noticeable. Those oompetent to ju'lge placed the attendance at from 1500 to 1800. Among those present were Messrs Poland and Herries, members for the Ohinemuri and Bay of Plenty districts.

The strongest classes among the stock exhibits wore those for dairy cattle, which were judged by Mr A. Furze. In the milk test class, Mr J. McSweeny took first and second prize with two Shorthorn cows which gave 48J and 401bs of milk per day and tested 4 and 4.1. Mr J. Hall took third prize in the same class with a Jersey cow, which gave 3libs of milk at 4'85 test. There were eleven entries in this class, the tests ranging from 3.86 to 4.25. There was a splendid exhibit of flowors, fruit and vegetables, of which Messrs D. Hay and Gillies of Auckland were the judges. The cut flowers included some splendid exhibits, there being a particularly fine display of cactus dahlias, in which Mr and Mrs Lamb took first prize. Mrs Edwin Edwards of Paeroa, was also a most successful prize taker among the inside exhibitors taking a prize with every one of her eight exhihits, most of them securing firsts. The first, second and special for butter against all comers went to this exhibitor.

The display of implements was a poor one. The homo classes were fairly well filled, the draughts showing most quality especially aniung the foals.
