Some of these spurious medicines have a label affixed to imitnte the English Stamp ; so that much vigilance is required in order i to detect the deception by examining very minutely j the Stamp and Label affixed to the Pots and Boxes, as likewise the color and thickness of the pnper, as also to the printing of the Books of Directions. It is to be hoped that all who may read this CAUTION will make it known amongst their friends. Shippers to the neighbouring Colonies, Storekeepers, Captains of Vessels, Wholesale and Retail Grocers, and the Public of Sydney, and the Colonies, that they are prepared to execute orders for Soap more speedily, and to a larger extent, tbau nny other house in trade; and though they do not profess to Bell at a lower price, yet they natter themselves that they can more than compensate for the very slight difference iv price (about Is, per cwt.) by the self-evident immense superiority of the article produced by them, which has stood the test of Hit last ten years, and is pronounced by all who have used it as the finest manufactured SOAP EVER PRODUCED IN Tnß AUSTRALIAN COLONIES. In fact no respectable Grocer's shop should be without it, as house-keepers, lauudrywomen, aud others, ha\e discovered and appreciated its many recommendations as to savins! bleaching! DETERGENT QUALITIES ! and its PERFECT FREEDOM from offensive or-oun so generally left after using other soups — attributable to the fact, that none but the finest ingredients are used in the manufacture. Be sure to sec the nume, " Cowan and Israel, Sydney," on each bar, none other is genuine. Do not take inferior soaps, which many shopkeepers endeavor to push off for the purpose of gaining an extra Is. per cwt., thereby depriving the consumer of the opportunity of having that refreshing and inestimable luxury — white and sweet liken. They further beg to state that at the suggestion of a large number of their customers, they have been induced to commence, for the first time iv New South Wales, the manufacture of Fancy Scented Soaps, and from the encouraging manner in which even their earliest efforts have beeu received they feel sure that the public will endorse the opinion already so flatteriagly pronounced, that they are superior to anjthiug of the kind ever introduced into the colonies, and that they will support them iv their attempts to further Colonial Manufactures, and by giving the preference to Colonial over other manufactures give rent and substantial pretestion to spirited enterprize nnd honorable competition. They enn be had in small boxes, either in Bars or Tablets, at the works as above ; or at their Town Office, 9, SUSSEX STREET, SYDNEY, Next to the A. S. N. Co's Wharf. Orders addressed as above will meet with prompt attention. QUINTESSENCE OF JAMAICA GINGER AND CAMOMILE. I TXfILKINSON'S (late Bridge's) Quintessence V* of Jamaica Ginger anil Camomile.
