Death of a Chieftain ess

Mrs. Porter, wife of Colouel Porter, died suddenly at New Brighton last evening from heart complaint, Sho was ohirltainess of the Ngatiporo tribo in the Gisborno district, and mother of Mrs, J. Howie, tho well- known singer. It is only a month ago sinco Colonel Porter lost his son, Lieutenant ft. H. Porter.
