TO THE EDITOIt Sir,—All mining men will agroo with most of thoremarks of " Bit d' Scrip," and shareholders should noli he tomptcd to soil at the proaent ridiculously low prices. Tho main reason for the drop is tho fact that instead of practical mining work being doD6,' timo hihl monoy are being wasted by sinking and driving on the roof, and I venture to say that tho Company hayo not tho least idea as to which wall thoy mo driving on. If tho management wish to provo (he lodo, why do thoy not cross* cut it ? It is now four months sinco the reef wns intersected, the adjoining mines hrwo drained the country to a depth of say 160 ft bolow tho Extended reef, and yet no roal work has boon towards sinking. It is apparent to anyone eonvorsant with mining that the proper way to dovelop the mine is by sinking, 11 is possiblo that the directors are not practical minir ;men, but thoy should, from thoir posit' Ij, bo aware that thja property justifies them in obtaining proper advice upon tho working of their mino. Under skilled management tho Wailu and Junction mines liavo assumed vast dimensions, and if properly worked tho Extended will undoubtedly provo a valuable one, In tho meantime shareholders should stick to their sharos, as the chance of a riso now offered by tho Extended mino is not likely to occur, again in a hurry, and onyono selling now may loso tho char,co of over buying in again ot tho prosent prices. lam etc., Anothkr Bit o' Scrip
