Tho water dillicnlty can be coped with by proceeding cautiously with tho drive, The drive on tho reefbas now been advanced between two and thrco feet. Its width and value is jet to bo proved, bin judgiog by its size as proved by tho drill, it should bo a very large reef, and liigh?r in value than in No, 2 lovel, 1-10 feet above.

WAIHI EXTENDED MINE Sinking on tho roof in tho Waihi Extonded mino is proceeding expeditiously, Tho ventilation in tho mino is splondid. tho air pouring through tho breach effected with No 2 lovel of the Grand Junction in such 11 volumo as to thoroughly ventilate the whole of the Extended workings,
