A young man, named McKenna, having had his head seriously crushed through being strack by a falling tree, SMOKING OPIUM. At the Police Court two Cliiuamenwoio lined A'ij ouch an.l coatH foi smoking opium, and another in a similar penalty for having opium in his possession. ANOTHISR RAID Two more polico raids upon Chineso premises with the intention oi suppressing opuim smoking woro mado last night, It is alleged ihnt a Chinaman was caught smoking in each house, Seizures of opium and utensils wcro made, and prosecutions will probably follow.
