TO THE EDITOR Silt,~Eo paragraph in your issuo of 29th itißt., respecting hospital nursing staff, I nm given to understand, on oxcellont authority, that tho illness of the two ladies moutionod, did not necessitate the oxelusivo attention of anothor nurse, as other pntionts woro in tho fever ward, and moreovor tho staff was at its full Btrongth, owing to tho importation of two fresh bands. lam also awaro that ono of the two ladies referred to had in proper form boon gianted leave of absonco on acoount of overstrain, and at tho earnest entreaty of tho matron returned to duty before expiry of timo, and was at ouco plaood in ohnrgo nf fevor patients, 1 think it very indifferent tasto to montion names in such a paragraph.
