Nichol, of Hampden, for rescuing Julia Griffith from drowning, and a lottor nf commendation to Eutherford Nichol in connection with tho same incident; a silver modal to William Brooks, chief officer of tho Star of Australia, and \V. E. Smith, for rescuing Michael Foloy from drowning al Wellington; a silver medal to G H Dristow for roscuing LowU Jones from drowning at Napier; a silver medal to Mrs George Wilkinson, junior, for rescuing Ivinji Wilkinson and Cisiy Young from drowning at Otorohanga; also bronzo medals and certificates for minor acts of bravery.
