DUNEDIN.
Jan 7. The second annual draughts match between Otago and Canterbury took place today, and resulted in a win for Canterbury by 23 games to 13, Jan 9. A supposed case of suicide occurred at Queenstown on Friday. William Templeton, aged 76, was found drowned in the Jetty. He had been dunking heavily. A lad named David Piuness, was drowned at Alberton.
It is reported that Sir Julius Yogel has already experienced great benefit from the Hot Baths at Waiwera.
