I have had a good many inquiries for store cattle, the demand not being satisfied for that description of atock. At the St. Hill-street Sale Yards to-day, store cattle were in limited numbers, and sold at fair rates. Beef of good quality brought 25s per lOO.bs. Cattle. — 65 were yarded and sold at quotations — Fat cattle, from £7 to £8 12s 6d ; store bullocks, £6 15s ; store cows £4 5s ; fat calves £1 5s to £1 15s. Sheep. — 766 were penned and realised good prices. There is a steady demand, with an upward tendency, for fat sheep. They sold as f ollowb -Fat sheep, from 6s 6d to 9a ; breeding ewes, from 6s 9d to 9b 3d ; old ewes. 2s 9cl. Horses.— Very dull. No transactions to report. Country Sale. On Thursday, the 20th inst, I held a sale at Turakina, on account of Charles O.imoron, Esq. There were a large number of buyers, and the bidding was spirited. Stove cattle were in great demand, and the prices obtained were extreme values. Cattle. -145 head wero yarded, and sold at quotations. Fat cattle, from £5 2s 6d to £8 12s 6d : store bullocks, £7 7s 6d ; mixed store?, £5 12s 6d ; store cows, £5 15s ; milch cows, £4 17s 6dto £6 15s. Sheep.— sß6 were penned, and brought 8s 3d. Horses.— Dull ; no bidding. Exports. — For fortnight ending Thursday : 1150 sheep ; 40 head of cftttlo.
