The attendance at the continued sale of Mr Waters' stock to-day wa.! small, undoubtedly caused byt'he inclemency of the weather. -The.prices realised were .not'good and on the whole the sale was not the success it mighthava been.

AUCKLAND CATTLE MARKET,

Mr Alfred Buckland's Weekly Re-port.-On. Friday last fodder was in full supply and at previous week's values—7s per cwt., for best oaten hay was the ruling price; Horse stock werb penned in usual numbers, but were dull of sale at auction ; the greater number werp, however, sold before leaving the yard, but at lower values than have hitherto prevailed. Good draught, £32 10s; -riding horses, from £6 to £9. At Remuera, on Thursday,- very few dairy cattle were penned ; store cattle more than usually plentiful ; fat cattle in full supply, 186 head penned. Prices for second-clas3 fat cattle were lower, but best quality maintained : last week's quotation. Fat sheep in full supply and at higher values—^d per lb. No" pigs penned. Prices obtained were : Dairy cows, £8 10s to £10 10s ; grazing cows averaged £3; steer calves, 24s ; two and a-half year old steers, £4 15s to £5 10s ; inferior fat cattle 255; best quality, 35s per . lOOlbs ; fat sheep, 4d the lb.
