RESPECT FOR THE SCRIPTURES.
[To the Editor.] Sir, — I cannot understand why some clergyman has not spoken out against the mocking lines written by ''Patriot" on our Lord's second coming, which were published in tho ''Daily Times" of last Wednesday! Surely, Sir, you could give space to something more, edifying, which would neither corrupt tho minds of young people, nor shock those Avho study their New Testaments. — I am, etc., J.M.
