LIVERPOOL WOOL SALES.
FIVE PER CENT. INCREASE
BRADFORD MARKET VERY FIRM
LONDON, May 1
At the Liverpool wool sales, 11,924 bales were offered, half being Queens*land and half New South Wales. All 20t3 were sold.
There was poor, selection, both of Merino and crossbred. There was keen competition from the Home trade.
No export was allowed from this sale.
•Uerinos and fine crossbreds were selling at 5 per cent, above last sale. Low crossbreds were unchanged.
TJie Bradford waol market is exceedingly firm. Quotations for Merinos and crossbreds are still ad-
vancing
At the London sheepskin sales, there was a large attendance and good competition. Crossbred and combing Merinos showed a 10 per cent, advance on last allocation sale. There was a good demand for burry wools and faulty pelts .these reaching prices equal to last allocation.
There was some buying on French and Belgian account, but none by America or neutral countries.
