HANDLEY—MEULI.
A ceremony of considerable interesttook place yesterday afternoon, at tho residence of Mr. N. Meuli, "New Helvetia," St. John's Hill, the occasion being the wedding of Miss Agatha. Grace (Sis) Meuli and Mr. Georgo Henry Handley, eldest son of Mr. Samuel Handley, of Nukumau. The Rev A. Morton officiated. The bride was gowned in a handsome ivory chiffon taffeta silk, the bodice trimmed with Maltese laco and silver cords, full train skirt, festoonedl with silver cord and tassels. She also wore tke orthodox veil and orange blossoms, the veil (hand-embroidered) being the gift of a friend). She also carried a beautiful shower bouquet of white blossoms and maiden hair fern. The bride was attended by Misses Florence and Nina Meuli (sisters of the bride) and Miss Catherine Handley (sister of the bridegroom). Their dresses were of shell pink and eau de nil crystalline silk over glace silk, lace yoke and sleeves finished with French, knots. They carried pretty bouquets of pink roses and autumn leaves. The duties of best man were performed by Mr. L. Meuli, and Mr. D. Wilson, of Waitotara, acted as groomsman. After the ceremony a reception w.as held in a large marquee where music was provided by O'Hara's orchestra. Dnriner the afternoon Mr and; Mr s . G. Handley, left by the south' train for Palmerston North, en route to Napier, where the honeymoon is to be spent. Mrs. Handler's going-away dress was a smart brown tailor-made costume, trimmed with brown silk bvaid, and brown silk hat to. match, "a tondisome set of stone-marten."furs'cotn-pteted A charming toi;etci.
