The dancing was interspersed with songp^hy Messrs/ Deu-ham, Granger a^d Mills, and broke up in the small hours after finest pleasant everA nasty accident occmred to Mr Jack Bolton yesterday morning (Monday) When attending to the harness or .the three horse team, the shafter jumped forward and knocked him down. He pluckily grabbed the reins, out before-he could get clear the wheel went over one leg, causing a nasty gash under the leg above tfee knee, and bruising the knee. Luckily no bones were, broken. I>r. Harvy was telephor©d for and was soon in attendance on ■*J e sufferer,- who had been taken to Mr. Mills'. After the wound was dressed the patient was got ready for the ambulance, which was . brought. ■ down fro m Waverley, and taken, to the Waitotara Station and sent.to Patwa'tosjpital. I think Waverley and district should bo proud, of their energetic "littla doctor,; who -lies gone to the- expense of Having 'an ambulance wagon' made for the convenience of patients.- It is a strange eoincHence that the ambulance was only yest&rday morning EO far completed as to.bs" able, to be ns&d, and a patient was in needi of it before nooii.
