The “ Emily Allison” is still detained at the heads by contrary winds. We are. informed by the agents here, that the repairs’to the ‘‘ Wonga Wonga” have been completed at Wellington. She was to sail last Tuesday evening for Napier, and' on her return would be desqatched to Wanganui on or about Monday next.

WANGANUI MA/JKET REPORT.—Feb. 29. Wheat haf been brought to town in considerable quantities, by the river, and from Waitotara; we qudte it at 8s per bushel for old, and 7s for new. A few tons of potatoes have been disposed of, in retail lots, by the kit. Peaches, apples, cucumbers, pumpkins, &c. are plentiful at low prices. Flour— ln consequence of heavy imports, and of the mills getting into full work, there has been a considerable decline in the price of flour. First quality has lately been sold at £25 per tou. Oats—old are worth 4s to 4s 6d, new 3s 6d per bushel.

Canterbury Markets. —Feb. 9. Flour Market. —Since our last quotation flour has fallen £2 per ton, being now ,£26. It is sure to have a further fall to £24 during the present week, and the price of bread will be reduced accordingly. Wheat stands temporarily at, white, 7s per bushel of 60 lbs; red do., 6s 6d, in consequence of a limited demand from Wellington per last steamer; but these prices are not expected to hold long. People are already.mentioning 6s as the utmost figure of the present standard. —■Canterbury Standard.

Melbourne Markets. —Jan. 28. . The Mills—Business continues brisk for trade requirements, and prices continue steady. Fine flour,’ £l9; Haxall and Callego, £22 per ton ; bran, scarce, Is 8d per bush ; wheat, but little offering for sale, 7s 9d co 8s per bushel. :

Ketail.—Bread, lOd the 4lb loaf; beef, 4|d to 7d ; mutton, 5d to 6d ; veal, 9d to 10d ; pork lOd to Is per lb ; eggs, 2s 9d to 3s per doz. Hay.—The supply brought in during the week, although ample, has been considerably less than at market last week. Trade has been tolerably brisk, and but few loads have remained undisposed of at the close of each day. Best hay brings from £4 to £4 10s, inferior rnd coarse from £3 to £3 15s per ton.

Adelaide. The corn market continues firm; the farmers keep back the wheat, and supplies are vjsry limited. Millers are giving 6s 8d to 6s lOd per bushel for dray loads, and 7s is given at the port. Flour. £l6 10s to-£l7 per ton.
