The disturbance in San Francisco aroK© through two unionists dining at a Japanese restaurant. The other unkxn&sba demanded their expulsion or the surrender of their unionist cards. The refusal led to a mob of unionist* attacking the restaurant, and the police -were inadequate, owing to a street railway strike.
