Gawain, Stronghold, Aboriginal and White Sfar were ecratcned. Won Bjl a length and a half, a length separat'ng the second- and third horses. Time — Umin 21 4-Sseo. Dividend — £3 ss. TRIAL PLATE, of 80 soys; six furlongs— Wirrall 1, Landwern % OompaES 3. Mim Caudle, MonsieuT, Beaucaire and Prevail aiso started. Won by half a length. Time— lmin 22 2-6seS. Dividends— £l 16s and 16s. FINAL HTJKDLE RACE, of -200 soys; one mile and tihfee-quarters — Cndragno, lOsit lib, 1; Pushful, lOst 7ib, 2; Ma^mincent, 9st 7Hb, 3. &hra.pn&l was scratched. Won by a couple of lengths. Bounce fell at the last fence. Time— 3min Slsec. Dividends— £s and £1 2s. JULY STEEPLECHASE HANDICAP, of 200 soys: two miles and a half— lrish, lOst 81b, 1; Playfair, lOst 7lb, 2; Kruger, 9st 91b, 3. > Rongoa and Lissa also started. Won by twenty lengths. Rongoa and Idssa fell. Time— 6min Bsec. WINTER OATS HANDICAP, of 180 «ovs; «n« mil«— M»ui, 9st 9lb, lj White fitar, 9et r 2; Rosa Petal. 9st, 8. G«.wain, Galahad, -and' Hatlfty were scratched. SECOND HACK HI7RDLE RACE, of 80 soys; one mile and a half — Prospector, lOst 41b, 1; Tirole. lOst, 2; Black Squall', 9st 91b, 3. All started. Won by three lengths. Time — 2min 57 4-ssec. Dividends — £2 10b end £7 Ba. THORNDON 1 HACK HANDICAP, of 80 soys; six furlongs — Armamento, 9st 9lb, 1; B&wsu, lOst, 61b. 2; Silver ShelL, 9*t l^b, 3. AH started. Won by a length. Time— lmin 21 4-ssec. Dividends— £2 18s and £2 Bs. The racehorses Chryseis and Stronghold arrived Irom Wellington bjp the s.s. Mararoa this morning.
