POLLING DAY,
fPjER Press Assoclvtion.] HOKITIKA, July 13. The weather continues wet for the close of tlie election campaign. To-day is cold j with south-west showers, and polling up to the present (10.30 a,m.) nas been slow. Some idea of the probable result is likely to bo gathered about 7 p.m. Tlie candidates have had an arduous time touring: the electorate, as the weather througliout has been rough. Both are receiving numerous messages of good wishes. Mr Seddon has received a cable message from Sir Joseph Ward, wishing him success.
