Medical evidence in the Castlereagh Street tragedy is against the theory that tbe woman shot the man, despite the girl's letters expressing her intention to kill Walker, whom ehe believed to be unfaithful to her. (A man named Walker and -a woman named Pounoeby were found fyead, shot through their heads, in a room in Castlereagh Street. The man was holding a revolver in hie hand, but a note in the woman's writing indicated that she intended to kill Walker. Telegrams ware found in the man's pocket, sent by the woman, making an appointment. It was believed that aiter killing tho man, the woman shot herself, placing the revolver in Walker's hand before sbe died. Jealousy was the motive.)
