Dettnxexxess. — Benjamin Taggart and William Hull were each fined 10s and costs on charges of drunkenness. — Eliza Lee j Strange, who had been arrested on a simi- ! lai* charge, was reported by the pplice to j have been removed to the Hospital. She was remanded for a week. — Two first of- j fenders were convicted and discharged; and a first offender, who was charged with having been drunk, and with having committed an indecent act, was fined 20s on the first charge, and convicted aid discharged on the second. Vagrancy.— Alexander Cftrrie, charged with vagrajicy, was convicted and discharged, on .condition that he went to the Salvation Army Home. -* (Before Mr W. R. Haselden, S.M.) Ctvi- Cases.— ln the following cases the defendants did not appear, and judgment was given for the plaintiffs for the amounts, claimed, with costs:— Le Luen and Douglas (Mr Raphael) v.. W. T. Parsons, claim £2 ; F. Sladen (Mr Raphael) v. H. Leicester, £26 19s 4d. A Claim fob Rent.— William H. de la Mare claimed £1 4s, from J. A. Killick, iun., for rent due. After hearing the evidence of the parties, his Worship gave judgment for the plaintiff for the amount claimed, with costs
