The retuirn of gold entered for duty f as: '. exportation from New Zealand for the last! year places tihe aggregate quantity foriihel colony at 373.6160z and the value ati £1,439,602. This is a decrease in quantityj of 15,9420z and in value of £73,571 out the amount entered for export for the pre* yious year. . T!he aggregate export was dis J . tributed among the various districts aft; follows:— Auckland, 166,3420z, valued atf £605,398; Marlborough, 5350 a, valued a«V £2,147; Nelson, 37180z, valued at £14,605; West Coast, 73,9230z, valued at; £295,733 ; Canterbury, 230z, valued ab £90; Otago, 129,0750z, valued atf ~ £521,629. The total amount of gold ex-« ported from the colony from April, 1857,; to date is 14,608,9010z, and the value: £57,406,100.
