THE WAIKAKAHI ESTATE.
Waikakahi (says the "Oamaru Mail") is beseiged by persons who are desirous of securing sections of this renowned estate, and Avho are inspecting it Avitb that object in view. The cooks aro kept going continually preparing food, and all available sleeping accommodation is brought into use. But Mr M'Lean resolved to signalise this great occasion by being moro hospitable than usual, if that were possible, and made ample preparation for the incursion which lie knew Avould take place as the result of opening up the ptoperty for settlement.
