FIRES.
[Per Pkess Association.] TIMARU, March 16. A four-roomed house, tho property of Charles Morgan, was burned this afternoon, a tarpot boiling on a gas stove starting the fire. Some furniture was saved. Tho house Avas insured for £150 in the New Zealand Office, and the furniture for £150 in the National Office.
A four-roomed house at Barr Hill, owned ancl occupied by John Briok, was damaged by fire on Tuesday to the extent of about .£35. The house and furniture were insured in the United Office- for .£l5O.
