MEETINGS OF SOCIETIES.
An ordinary meeting of the Christchurct Prohibition League was held at the rooms, Gloucester Street, last evening. There was a very good attendance. Six new members were elected. The organising agent for the district gave an account of the work in the districts visited. An open-air meeting was fixed for Saturday evening. The attention of the League was again drawn to the report that children under thirteen were served with drink in hotels. Members were unanimously of opinion that the age should be raised to sixteen.
