THE TIMARU NAVALS.
The Timaru Naval Artillery Company haying been informed .that they, must 'be .transformed into what they in reality are — a rifle corps — at firat talked of disbanding, but at the annual general meeting on Monday . night they resolved by a small majority to adopt the new rifle uniform, as soon as their term of grace expires in October next. The company will have to take a new title also, but this question was not settled, several names being suggested for consideration.
