MISCELLANEOUS.
A larga number of persons assembled in the Bouth-wesfe quadrangle of the Exhibition yesterday afternoon, to witness the second performance^ Mr W. Morris, the New Zealand Blondin. The feats were a repetition of those of the previous oveninp, and in epite of the inconvenience .which must have been occaeionod by the wind, were executed in admirable 'stylo. The assemblage applauded heartily at the termination of each feat of the performer. His eomersaults, and feats on a chair balanced on the ropo were especially popular. A meeting of tho prinoipal oxhibifcors was held in the Art Gallery of tho Ezhibitionyesterday morning, Mr Joubort occupying tho shair. After some discussion it was ro>olvod to hold an exhibitors' ball at an early date, and a Oommittoe was formed for carrying out the necessary arrangements. More than half the amount ro quired was at once subscribed. At the request of the meeting Mr H. J. Pcott agreed to interview the Foreign and Colonial exhibitors, and to ask their co-operation in carrying out tho proposed programme. For the credit of the New Zealand exhibitors it is I to be hoped thoy will put their shoulders to .the wheel in the matter, and assist their Home and Foreign confreres in making the ball what it undoubtedly should be — a grand success.
