In Drake and Collinß' sweep, tho first prize fell to M'Donald and Co,, Waimate ; the second to Mr -Tames Rhodes, Port Chalmers ; and the third to Mr Bray, Dunedin, To-night's Age says :— " Tho scratching of Titania for the Cup yesterday created intense disgust. Titania was a leading favourite, and her withdrawal has tended to upset all confidence in racing events. We have heard of a young man, who drew Titania in a sweep, in which the first horse stood to win £1000, and who was offered £100 for Titania a few hours before Titania was scratched.
