[SPEOIAI,.] Feb. 28. A terrible fire broke out this morning in market street, and raged furiously for several hours. Had there been any wind the greater part sf the town would have gone. The following places were burned : — Healy and Sons, bootmakers ; Scott, confectioner ; Jensen, barber; Prosswood, watchmaker; GriiUth, auctioneer ; Dobson, stationer ; Home and Cleghorn, chemists ; Jellyman, butchers ; Quin, watchmaker ; Macey, photographer ; Collier, stationer ; O'Sullivan, commission agent ; and McNab, barrister. The insurances are very light — New Zealand, £1250; Colonial. £850 ; Norwich, £600 ; Union, £700; National, £200 ; Standard, £150 ; Soutli British, £000 ; Northern, £400 ; Victoria, £150.
