The following places were burned : — Healy and Sons, bootmakers ; Scott, confectioner ; Jensen, barber; Prosswood, watchmaker; GriiUth, auctioneer ; Dobson, stationer ; Home and Cleghorn, chemists ; Jellyman, butchers ; Quin, watchmaker ; Macey, photographer ; Collier, stationer ; O'Sullivan, commission agent ; and McNab, barrister. The insurances are very light — New Zealand, £1250; Colonial. £850 ; Norwich, £600 ; Union, £700; National, £200 ; Standard, £150 ; Soutli British, £000 ; Northern, £400 ; Victoria, £150.
