Vice Admiral is the most susceptible to improvement, as he was a bit above himself there. Bronze looks the other way and was a bit overdone, and should Allegory win, surprise this scribe. ' The writer after watching the racing same for a number of years, is a great believer in the " present form which ooints to Undecided. Masterpiece, Goldfinder, and Domino are all in the danger zone, but if there is a three-year-old among the starters he should give;a good account of himsell. In the Stewards' Handicap are some of the best sprinters we have in N.Z. Both Theodore and Pierene shaped fairly well against the Australians when in Sydney, and may have improved since landing. The top weight, Equitas, is registering good work, on the training tracks and will hold most of the starters safe, but with a big field that is sure to start luck olten goes with the winner.
