Mails for Chatham Islands per Kuhu, leave Lyttelton Ist October. The next German mail packet leaves Melbourne 17th inst. Due at Berlin 26th October. The next French mail packet leaves Melbourne Oct. 2nd. Due at Marseilles on Nov. 2nd. The Aberdeen leaves Melbourne for South Africa 7th inst., arriving at Capetown on Sept 28th. The Upolu will leave Auckland for Fiji on 12Ch inst. The next direct mail for the United Kingdom, per Gothic, leaves the colony 19th inst. ; due London October 29th. Time of closing at Timaru will be given m future notice. The next mail for the United Kingdom and Europe (via San Francisco), leaves Timaru October 2nd; due Lon-j don Nov 6th. j ft. J.
