It staled that tlio drainage of Sandio Town was receiving attention, nnd that na expenditure of £30 would bo required to protect from floods tho tipproneh to D. C. Carter's jirivato road. Tho report also rofcrred to the ■progress of the various contracts. It wns resolved — "That Mr Frew bo nllowcd JMS per aero for land required at Opihi bridgo; that tho road through tho swamp from Fraser's to the Island Ifut bo metalled nt a co»t of £200 ; that tho road from Probin's to tho Opihi Hotel be metalled at a cost of £160, nnd that Mnzos' road bo motnllcd." The meeting then adjourned.
