Sib,—At a " Benevolent Tea "in Grahamstown last night the Kev Mr Beid is. reported byyou to have said thatto Professor Tyndall he felt thankful for having de« ■ dared his inability to answer the following three questions:—" Ist. What am I? 2nd. Whence am I? 3rd. Whither am I bound?" The rev gentleman will doubtless many besides myself (who had not the advantage of hearing him) by kindly explaining through your columns what reason he has for feeling thankful to the professor in respect to ■ the abovo candid admission of ignorance.
