Business Notices. 00M E T OIL. The NEW SOTJTH WALES SHALE AND OIL COMPANY are now in a position to turn out about 50,000 GALLONS of their ICEROSEN'E UIL per month, which, with very small outlay, could be doubled, aud it is simply a question of time when they will manufacture enough to supply the whole of the Ausb-alian Colonies Superior in quality to any imported oil, and much lower iu price, the "COMET" OIL isi justly regarded as THE BEST, THE SAFEST,, and CHEAPEST ILLUMINATOR. As a proof of the superiority of the Comet Oil over all other brands, the following letters are selected from a number of others lately received from the trade and consumers: — " Australasian Steam Navigation Company. L' Sydney, June 13,1874. " Dear Sir,—For the last four or five years we have used none other than Kerosene Oil manufactured from the Hartley Shale. We have J noticed that it has steadily improved in quality; and for a period of two years, that is, since your company came into existence and manufactured your Comet Oil, it is all that can be desired. Throughout a large fleet of steamers, with a consumption of about 600 gallons per month, in a variety of lamps and lanterns, subject to great changes in temperature and sudden draughts in saloons, engine-rooms, and in mast-head and side lights, this oil is put to a severe test, and we find it equal, if not superior to any other kerosene oil procurable in these colonics. " I am, dear sir, yours faithfully, (Signed) "Robt. F. Philps." "Fred. Phillips, Secretary"! " Hunter Biver Steam Navigation Company "Sydney, 2nd April, 1874. "The Secretary New South Wales Shale and Oil Company (Limited). "Dear Sir,—l have much pleasure in certify- ; ing that, since the improvements effected nearly ; two years ago in refining ysur oil it ha 3 been ! used by this Company continuously for illumina- : ting purposes in the saloons and engine-rooms : of our steamships, and for mast-head and side : lights -for all which purposes we have found it 'to be equal to the best American kerosene oil ; and I have no doubt, when the excellent quality of your oil becomes known in the other colonies and in foreign places, it will supersede any other kerosene oil. "Yours sincerely, "F. J. Thomas, Manager." The Company's SHALE has found its way for GfAS MAKING PURPOSES into all parts of the world, including New York and San Francisco. The supply is unlimited; and its richness, both for gas production and illuminating power, is unequalled. A Chemical Preparation of Phosphorus, with the Vegetable Alkaloids Quinia, Cypriden, Xanthoxylin, &c, Discovered, introduced, and extensively prescribed by Charles Leslie Bright, M.D., Resident Surgeon of St. Mary's Hospital, London. This Phosphatic combination is pronounced by the most eminent members of the Medical Profession to be unequalled for its power in replenishing the vitality of the body, by its supplying all the essential constituents of the blood and nerve substance, and for developing all the powers and functions of the system to the highest degree. It is agreeable to the palate, and innocent in its action, while retaining all its extraordinary properties, and, as a specific, surpassing all the known therapeutic agents of the day for the speedy and permanent cure of— Nervous prostration Shortness of breath Liver complaints Trembling of jthe hands Palpitation of the heart and limbs Dizziness Impaired nutrition Noises in the head aud Mental and physical deears pression Loss of energy and ap- Consumption (in its inpetite cipient or first stages Hypochondria only) Female complaints Eruptions of the skin General debility Impaired sight and Indigestion,' memory Flatulence Nervous fancies Incapacity for study or Impoverished blood business Nervous debility in all Sick headache its stages Lassitude Premature decline and all morbid conditions of the system, arising from whatever cause. The action of the Phosphodyne is twofold—ou the one hand, increasing the principle which constitutes nervous j energy j and on the other, the most powerful j blood and flesh generating agent known,' ' therefore, a marvellous medicine for renovating impaired and broken-down conststutions. ( quickly improves the function of assimilation to j such a degree that, where for years an ema- i ciated, anxious, cadaverous, and semi-vital 1 condition has existed, the flesh will rapidly in- j crease in quantity and firmness, and the whole ] system return to a state of robust health, The Phosphodyne acts electrically upon the organisation; for instance, it assists nature to ( generate that human electricity which renews c and rebuilds the osseous, muscular, nervous,' t membranous, and organic systems. It operates J on the system without exciting care or thought t upon the individual as to the process. It j moves the lungs, liver, heart, kidneys, stomach, and intestines, with harmony, vigour, yet mildjiesg, unparalleled in medicine. J The Phosphodyne gives back to the human s structure, in a suitable form, the phosphoric or ti animating element of life which has been wasted, and exerts an important influence £ directly on the spinal marrow and nervous s system, of a nutritive, tonic, and invigorating character; maintaining that buoyant energy of the brain and muscular system which renders the mind cheerful, brilliant, and energetic, n entirely overcoming that dull, inactive, and u overcoming that dull, inactive, and sluggish jjj disposition which many persons experience in u all their actions. ti The beneficial effects of the Phosphodyne are w frequently shown from the first day of its administration, by a remarkable increase of ner- f vous power, with a feeling of vigour and comfort to which the patient has long been unaccustomed. Digestion is improved; the appetite £ increases wonderfully; the bowels become S) regular; the eyes brighter; the skin clear and n healthy; and the hair acquires strength, ii showing the importance of the action of , the Phosphodyne on the organs of nutrition. _ (j Finally, the Phosphodyne maintains a oertain a! degree of activity in the previously debilitated ] nervous system; its use enables all debilitated organs to return to their sound state and per* form their natural functions.
