The Golconda G.M.O.'s meeting was adjourned until to-morrow for want of a quorum,—Joseph Bennett proceeded by thes.s.'Victoria' to Sydngy to-day to bring a further shipment of horses and stock. Ho has chartered the steamship 'Blackbird' for the purpose.—The Superintendent has proclaimed the 7fch of October as a holiday in honour of tho 105 th auniversary of Cook's landing in New Zealand. — A foot race, arranged between O'Hare and Delaney for £30 a-side, comes off on the 24th.Sailed: Tho a.s. 'Victoria' for Sydney and the s.s. 'Ladybird' for the South.— The barquentine 'Falcon,' 285 tons register, built to the order of Watt Brothers, xNapier, was successfully launched to-day. She is intended for the trade between Napier and Australia.—ln the Supreme Court, in Bankruptcy, today, the case of George Thome was again called, and a discussionensued regarding bankrupt's accounts, iwhich had notbeen made up in terms of agreement at last Court day. The case was ultimately adjourned, without anything definite being done, on the understanding that bankrupt should make up his accounts from October until date of bankruptcy, This was the only business.
