They wore all sold to-day at an average of £9 per ton, bags extra.—The Good Templars have formed a benefit society in order to tako advantage of the Govornment new proposals of life assuranco.—Tho examination of George Thome, jun., was resumed at the Bankruptcy Court. The Chief Justice, referring to bankrupt's absence, stated that ho should remark upon tho conduct of bankrupt in connection with'the proceedings at another stage of the case.

Good gold is coming from tho Union Beach, and tho crushing is looking well from both reefß.-The New Greon Harp crushing is showing for a heavy yield.— A cowardly, blackguard article appears in this day's News about a young lady here, a member of Mr C. W. Hall's family. Mr Hall met Mr Yon Sturmer, the editor, and struck him, when a scuffle ensued, and Von ran to tho Court House for protection and a summons.
